A$AP Rocky Officially Releases Previously-Leaked Track "Tailor Swif"
With the delay of his upcoming album Don’t Be Dumb, A$AP Rocky is keeping fans engaged by dropping the highly anticipated track "Tailor Swif." Originally known to fans as "Wetty," this catchy Hitkidd-produced song doesn’t actually reference Taylor Swift, but Rocky cleverly plays with her name in the chorus, rapping, "I’m too swift / don’t tell Taylor ’bout this sh*t / Go to my tailor / Got me dripped up in the district."
"Tailor Swif" was first performed live during Rocky’s set at Rolling Loud Portugal in 2022, though it unfortunately leaked shortly after. Including it on Don’t Be Dumb comes as a surprise, especially considering Rocky’s previous statement to Apple Music’s Zane Lowe that he wouldn’t feature any leaked tracks on the album. “I think anything that makes it on the project serves as a catalyst to your story. It supports the narrative you’re trying to convey, and if it ends up on the album, it’s because it’s important and special,” Rocky explained. “Usually, when songs leak after I perform them, they don’t make it onto the project. I might perform them occasionally, but once they’re out, they’re out. It is what it is.”
